2 Pesos | Gold

The 2 Pesos is a Mexican gold coin, struck between 1919 and 1996; from 1945 to 1996 it was restruck bearing the year 1945. The obverse shows the Mexican eagle eating a snake on a cactus; the reverse carries the face value « 2 pesos » and the year within a wreath.

It is 900 thousandths fine, weighs 1.67 grams, with a diameter of 13 mm.
