Kangaroo 1 oz | Silver

The Silver Kangaroo is an Australian silver coin struck by the Perth Mint. It honours the kangaroo, the largest living marsupial and a symbol of Australia. It is 999.9 thousandths fine, weighs 31.10 grams and measures 40 mm across.

The obverse carries the effigy of the British sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II until 2022 and King Charles III on recent strikes, with the inscription « Australia » and the face value « 1 dollar ».

The reverse shows a kangaroo bounding across an Australian plain, in a design renewed each year, with the inscriptions « Australian Kangaroo », the letter « P » of the Perth Mint and the year.
