20 Lire Umberto I | Gold

The 20 Lire Umberto I was struck between 1879 and 1897.

The obverse shows the portrait of Umberto I; the reverse shows the shield of Savoy between two olive branches. It is 900 thousandths fine, weighs 6.45 grams, with a diameter of 21 mm.

Umberto I, son of Victor Emmanuel II, was King of Italy from 1878 until his death in 1900.
