American Eagle 1/10 oz | Gold

The gold American Eagle has been issued by the United States since 1986. The 1/10 ounce version is its smallest format. The obverse takes up the Walking Liberty designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, a design carried over from the 1907 twenty dollar coin.

It is struck in gold at 916.7 thousandths. It weighs 3.39 g, with a diameter of 16.5 mm.

The reverse has changed over time: a family of eagles at the nest until 2020, then a profile portrait of an eagle since 2021. Its face value is 5 dollars.
