10 Guilders | Gold

The 10 Guilders gold coin was struck in the Netherlands between 1875 and 1933, with different effigies: William III, then Wilhelmina. It is 900 thousandths fine, weighs 6.73 grams, for a diameter of 22.5 mm.

The obverse shows the bust of the sovereign, William III or Wilhelmina depending on the issue.

The reverse shows the royal arms, with the face value on either side, « 10 » on the left and « g » for gulden on the right, surrounded by the legend « koningrijk der nederlanden », kingdom of the Netherlands, and the year. A caduceus at the lower right and an axe at the lower left are the mint marks.
