The 20 Francs Napoléon First Empire was struck between 1804 and 1814.

The obverse shows the portrait of Napoléon I, who had become emperor after two years as First Consul; the reverse carries the face value « 20 francs » and the year within a wreath. It is 900 thousandths fine, weighs 6.45 grams, with a diameter of 21 mm.
