The 100 Francs silver coin was struck by the Monnaie de Paris from 1982 to 2001. It is 900 thousandths fine, weighs 15 grams and measures 31 mm across.
It exists in many types: the Panthéon, the most common, and a series of commemoratives: Marie Curie, Émile Zola, the Statue of Liberty, La Fayette, Fraternity, Human Rights, Charlemagne, Descartes, Jean Monnet, Liberty Leading the People, the Liberation of Paris, the Victory of 1945, Clovis and Malraux.
On the Panthéon type, the obverse shows the Panthéon in Paris; the reverse shows a tree and the value « 100 francs », surrounded by the motto « liberté, égalité, fraternité ».
