The 20 Francs Turin is a French silver coin of the Third Republic, designed by the engraver Pierre Turin. It was struck by the Monnaie de Paris from 1929 to 1939, then demonetised in 1945.
The obverse shows a head of the Republic facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap wreathed in laurel. The reverse carries the face value and the year framed by two ears of wheat, with the motto « Liberté Égalité Fraternité ». The coin measures 35 mm across and its edge is reeded.
It weighs 20 grams, at a fineness of 680 thousandths, and was struck in close to 98 million examples across all years.
Please note: this listing contains 20 Francs Turin coins only. They are sold loose, delivery being calculated on the weight ordered. For any further information, please contact us. The photograph is not contractual.
