Half Sovereign Victoria widow | Gold

The Half Sovereign Victoria was struck between 1838 and 1901. It exists with three effigies: young Victoria, jubilee Victoria and widowed Victoria. Offered here is the widowed Victoria version.

The obverse shows the veiled bust of Queen Victoria and the reverse Saint George slaying the dragon. It is 916.7 thousandths fine, weighs 3.99 grams, with a diameter of 19 mm.

Queen Victoria reigned over the United Kingdom from 1837 until her death in 1901. Her son Edward VII succeeded her.
