The 10 Francs Cérès was struck between 1850 and 1851 under the Second Republic, then between 1878 and 1899 under the Third Republic.
The obverse shows the portrait of Ceres, goddess of agriculture, harvests and fertility. The reverse carries the face value « 10 francs » within a wreath of an olive branch and an oak branch, together with the year and the mint mark. It is 900 thousandths fine, weighs 3.23 grams, with a diameter of 19 mm.
