The Vienna Philharmonic is a gold coin issued by the Austrian Mint. The obverse shows the organ of the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna; the reverse brings together musical instruments, a Vienna horn, a harp, violins, a cello and a bassoon, designed by Thomas Pesendorfer.
It contains one troy ounce of gold at 999.9 thousandths, that is 31.1 grams. Its diameter is 37 mm, the largest of the one ounce gold coins, because it is slightly thinner than the others. Denominated in euros since 2002, its face value is 100 euros.
