40 Francs Louis-Philippe I | Gold

The 40 Francs Louis-Philippe I was struck between 1830 and 1839.

The obverse shows the portrait of Louis-Philippe and the reverse the face value « 40 francs » together with the year and the mint mark. It is 900 thousandths fine, weighs 12.90 grams, with a diameter of 26 mm.

Louis-Philippe I succeeded Charles X; he reigned over France from 1830 to 1848. He was the last king to reign in France.
