20 Francs Tunisia | Gold

The 20 Francs Tunisia gold coin was struck between 1891 and 1928, under the French protectorate. It follows the characteristics of the 20 Francs Napoléon: it is 900 thousandths fine, weighs 6.45 grams, for a diameter of 21 mm.

The obverse carries an inscription in Arabic with the year; the reverse carries the value « 20 francs » with the letter « A », the mark of the Paris mint. The inscriptions, year, value and country name, are bilingual, in French and Arabic, and arabesques decorate the rim of the coin.
